Anyone have any suggestions for the woman who won't shut up?

Recently I've had several disturbing interactions with women that have really bothered me.

3 times in the last 2 weeks I've been drawn into conversations with women who would otherwise be totally attractive, except they won't let me talk!

To me, the "normal" process is supposed to go like this:

1)I ask question
2)They answer question with story or anecdote.
3)I comment on what they said and return with anecdote of my own to show I understand their point.
4)They ask question of me

Repeat

Lately though I've had a pattern more like this:

1)I ask question
2)They answer question with story or anecdote
3)I respond with something like "Yeah, I know what you mean, I remember this one time.."
4)Woman cuts me off and starts on new thread or new story or whatever without letting me finish.
5)Listen for a moment
6)Go to respond 
7)Get cut off and woman continues a conversation with herself until she gets bored and goes to her phone.

I'm beginning to wonder if online communications are damaging the way humans interact. I'm starting to feel I would make more progress if I just sat next to a woman and texted with her rather than used voice communication. lol

Sounds like they aren't interested. If she doesn't want to hear your "I can relate" story, it's because she doesn't care to connect at that point and it doesn't matter if you've experienced something similar. What I wonder is where your head is at when you are at your step #7? She changed your subject and she's monologuing. Are you taking advantage of the fact that she's talking about something that she may believe is more interesting or are you waiting for her to shut up so you can get what you want to say in? Sometimes it's good to let a girl talk while you react with more questions, advice, and/or approval (of her or her actions) to show that you are interested in what she's saying. Your interest in what she's saying even though you may not get in a word early on may be the thing you need to get you from uninterested to interest. However, if you are frustrated that you don't get to finish a statement she's going to see the frustration and start to distance herself.

Seems to be an ego thing no offense. What is your goal? To fuck? To argue? Maybe she’s starved for attention and you’re the perfect guy to listen. What do you think is preventing you from converting? To me sounds like you almost are competing and mad that she’s talking to you. Perhaps you’re afraid to be successful? What do you think is the root reason?
