Background
I’m 23, she’s 20. We met in early July via dating app, fucked on the first date, see each other mostly on the weekends (work reasons) as FWB and officially became a couple in late august (she gave me an ultimatum and I accepted since the sex is great, she has a good personality, and this would have been my first actual relationship with someone).
Issue
I broke up with her because she would always ask me, “are going to break up with me” or “are you going to leave me?” Didn’t matter how many times I reassured her that I was not going to leave her or showed that I cared for her, she would still ask me that question almost every time we saw each other in person. Then she started asking that question by phone and at that point I had enough. This happened on Thursday and she’s been calling me to take her back and give her another chance; I told her if she goes to therapy at least once or twice a month for her emotional dependency on people then I would take her back (she said that she didn't want to but, she has gone to therapy in the past albeit for different reasons). We are going to meet up today and talk about giving her another chance.
Additional info
1. she has shown signs/red flags that she was clingy/needy since the first week that I met her, which I chose to ignore
2. the sex is as frequent as when I met her but, the sexting has stopped when we transitioned from FWB to relationship
3. as time went on, her neediness started showing by her wanting to talk by phone every single day and negatively overanalyzing everything I say
Conclusion
I don’t see myself being with this chick forever (and less so after this bullshit) and if we go back together, I doubt that she will change and that we will break up again. Is there anyway to change this or is it inevitable?
